New electric pole was built on our project site. The first tangible progress in a few months!
This pole will serve to bring electricity from the public grid as well as transmit our electricity to the public grid. Of course there are no electric cables yet, just a very lonely pole:
Two other poles were erected in the nearby rice fields for the sake of our project.
I'm not a big fan of overhead cables which effectively uglify Japan's countryside and cities. If there was an option for underground powerlines that wouldn't cost ten times more than overhead cables, we would go for it. But there wasn't. So ironically we will be the little villains too.
The dream remains to switch to undergrounding in the future.
